Move gradually into emissions trading, says food industry

FOOD prices will rise, international companies will take their businesses elsewhere and Australia’s largest manufacturing sector will suffer – unless the emissions trading scheme starts with modest trajectories, sufficient compensation and reinvestment of revenue in low emissions technology, says the Australian Food and Grocery Council.
